In August, Egyptian Parliament Speaker Ali Abdel-Al called the deal with Greece “very important.” The ratification took place more than two months after the agreement was signed in Cairo by the Egyptian and Greek foreign ministers. The Greek Parliament ratified the agreement on 27th August. The MENA news agency said the agreement signed by President el-Sisi was published in the Official Gazette on Saturday. The agreement between Egypt and Greece establishes “a partial delimitation of the maritime borders between the two countries and that the remaining delimitation must be obtained through consultations.” .
